The world is changing…..About Time!
Everywhere you go just now we are bombarded with Credit crunch disaster, recession doom and gloom. The media is driving us into a state of despair that allot of people are finding it difficult to come to terms with. I see this time as a new beginning on so many levels. People are now being forced to evaluate their lives. They have spent so long safe in their cocoons of jobs and security that the risk taking and adventure that people need to grow has all but disappeared from society. The human race flourishes in the wake of adversity. During the Second World War, whole towns and villages came together to support each other. People in the cities would stop and talk to each other. On 9/11, in one day New York changed. Millions of people changed in an instant, each were affected in their own personal way but yet had a connection to each other and without having to say anything they all knew it. People and societies can change, it happens every day. Every day thousands of people wake up and decide to change, and do. However, billions of us wake every day and wish they could change but don’t. The reason some do and so many wish they could, is simply down to the fact that those who do, “believe the can”. Those who don’t, are either, deep down, not wanting to change or simply don’t believe they can. All they have to do is believe that they can change to enable them to begin to change. That simple belief in their own potential is the driving force that is needed. The world is changing before our very eyes. People are being forced to change. They are finding themselves in new and uncomfortable situations. They are being forced to re-evaluate many of their priorities in life. By doing this they are changing their habitual thought patterns, thus changing the way they think. In turn this creates new connections within the brain that opens up new opportunities to change their beliefs and values of the world. Once they start doing that it is inevitable that people will change. Change is not always bad, embrace change, make change work for you, look at what is changing and focus on how it will help you grow and develop.
